4 pieces for 50% palmieri? Seems like a gross overpay by Uncle Lou |

Komarov is a "piece" alright. Just not the kind you're referring to here. |

So was the Komorov signing |

I would be happy with bellows uncle leo and a first. That is a great trade for both teams. |

No, you get 100% of Palmeri. Half of him is useless... |

If what is being reported is true, and I understand that is a big "if", the Isles are really overpaying for Palmieri. |

It's worth it to get Leo off the books for next year. Plus if they take Leo and retain 50% of Palmieri salary this allows the Isles to make at least another and maybe two more moves at the deadline. |

Please go to the Isles. Go. That’s ridiculous. |

Agree 100% on the overpay. I think Bellows is going to develop into a very good player. |

Only way I see the Isles giving up a 1st is if they take Komarov back in the deal. Otherwise something like Bellow's and a 2nd |

If they manage to get rid of komarov and only give up bellows and a 1st for palmieri that's a a pretty good deal |

I mean! in a perfect world!
Another more impact player would be Robin Salo.
Maybe willing to move on there.
Its the type of defenseman the Devils like and he needs a push.

Salo hasn't been discussed much but I could see him in play. Especially with Bolduc playing extremely well on a putrid Bridgeport team.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Isles were willing to include Simon Holmstrom in a deal, either. That was a terrible first round pick (with Tomasino and McMichael still on the board) and he's been largely "meh" up to this point in time. |

I don’t think Lou overpays. That’s way too much |

I know but I think hes the one to do it tho he kind of likes to win at the Deadline and get the biggest fish.

For just Palmieri, trading Bellows, a 1st Rounder, and prospect is too rich, IMO. But if NJ retains salary AND takes a bad contract from the NYI, it seems doable. I'd push for the Devils to take Ladd, though, at that price! |

Devils need defensive prospects more then forwards; although either could work in a trade.
Does Leo K need to be protected with a modified no trade clause? Holy crap I don't want that guy on my team... |

Only people that are required to be protected are full-NMC's. There's no rule saying you have to protect someone with even a full-NTC. Komarov is free and clear to be exposed. |
